CHAH Students Speak to NY 1 About Literacy Leaders

Just before Winter Recess, several CHAH high school students worked with Literacy Leaders, an English elective and internship program offered at Washington Heights Library.  Reporter Shelley Goldberg featured Alberto Hernandez, Neyfi Del Rosario, Kevin Velez, and Alejandro Rosario in a short piece on NY 1 News about the joys of reading.

Each student was asked which book they’d recommend and why they enjoyed that book.  Alejandro Rosario recommended Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer for its themes of survival, while Neyfi Del Rosario recommended Don Quixote for its adventurist escape appeal.

These books would make for great gifts, too!  Happy reading!
