Last week, the CHAH staff took on the students in our annual Staff vs Student Volleyball Game! The annual tradition hosted by Girl’s Volleyball coaches Ms. Calev and Ms. Jacobson was a great success!
A total of 5 games were played, with the staff winning the match.
The students held their own and showed great improvements, with several spikes and ace serves.
Fun times had by all!
This past week, CHAH 7th Graders took a tour of The City College of New York through CUNY Explorers, a program dedicated to getting young kids interested in college.
The next step in education is fast approaching, so its good that the middle schoolers are being prepared now. Planning today will mean a successful tomorrow!
The Boy’s Basketball Team made their annual trip to Syracuse NY for the Christopher Collins Classic!
The trip gave the team the opportunity to visit the Syracuse University campus and see the famous Carrier Dome.
The boys gave CHAH a great name as they handled themselves with respect and class on and off the court!
The boys basketball team went to Manhattan College last night to see the Jaspers in action!
It was an exciting game that ended in a Manhattan victory!
This past week, CHAH was one of many schools recognized for our steadily increasing graduation rate over the past several years. One of our seniors, Linet Mercedes, represented our school with a speech at City Hall in front of Mayor Bill de Blasio and Chancellor Richard Carranza. The press corps present, the Mayor, and the Chancellor were all incredibly impressed by Linet’s story.
