A New Visions Public 6-12 Community Learning School in Northern Manhattan

Neighborhood Trust Federal Credit held a small ceremony congratulating participants who completed the Entrepreneurship Program at CHAH. The next step of this program is to create a school store that is slated to open to students in February!
The Senior AP Literature students saw Othello on Broadway! The play, which is the most financially successful play in Broadway history, starred Denzel Washington as Othello and Jake Gyllenhaal as the villain Iago.
"It was amazing," Aaron Luna said about the play. "A really great experience."
"It's a tragedy, but it was funny too," said Aiden Alvarez. He added, "It was good and I'm glad we went."
The tickets were purchased by their teacher, Mr. Dickhudt, who fundraised for the event and chaperoned. "A lot of generous people made this happen, and I'm glad they did." He said. "It was an absolutely incredible experience for all of us."
The CHAH Golf Team has had two competitions so far this season and has fought hard against both Stuyvesant and Hunter. The student athletes are having a great time learning the game of golf and meeting kids from other schools. No good walks being spoiled here, Mark Twain!
This week, the CHAH Golf Team learned how to do full swings using a computer simulator at 5 Iron Golf in Herald Square. 5 Iron, a long time supporter of CHAH Golf, welcomed about 12 student-athletes for free for a few hours.
"I had fun!" 10th Grade student-athlete Saidy Pena said of the simulator. She added, "But golf is hard."
The Golf Team has their first competition at Mosholu Golf Course next week. Hopefully the things they learned at 5 Iron stick with them as they take on Stuyvesant!
